Somerset House's new photography exhibition focuses directly into the heart of black music and culture, as it depicts people whose work has contributed to the musical landscape. The Influence Project (from 27th June) includes images shot during the past four years by Congolese photographer Alexis Chabala, encompassing the worlds of hip-hop, R&B, funk, soul and Afrobeat. The free exhibition runs during Summer Series, the venue's season of courtyard concerts in July, so headliners from previous years are also on display here, including singers Laura Mvula and Aloe Blacc.
