London Transport Museum

Telling the story of London’s transport system including red buses, the world’s first Underground steam train and the padded cell, which is a train carriage dating back to the 1890s. The Hidden London exhibition uncovers the stories of London Underground’s disused stations.

Museum admission tickets are valid for 12 months and you can visit unlimited times throughout the year. Kids go free so don’t need an annual pass, but do need a free timed-entry ticket.

Various dates (check online): Depot Discovery Tours. Learn about the history of London transport as you take a tour round the Depot to see highlights from the collection, from historic vehicles, signs and maps to unusual and unexpected items.

9 Sep: Elizabeth Line Late. ‘Drive’ an Elizabeth Line train, play nostalgic games and sip on purple cocktails at this fun event.

To 15 Nov (Tuesdays and Fridays during term time): Singing and Story Sessions: Sessions include rhythm, dancing and storytelling, as well as the chance to look at objects from the Museum collection.
