F1H2O powerboating Grand Prix returns to London after 30 years
Visiting London between 15 and 17 June? You can now book tickets for a powerboating spectacle on the River Thames, as the F1H2O World Championships makes a stop here for the first time since 1985.
The annual competition, which sees single-seater, Formula 1 powerboats race against each other, kicked off in Portugal earlier this month. The London Grand Prix will take place at Royal Victoria Dock in east London, with practice sessions on Friday, qualifying sessions on Saturday and the big race on Sunday afternoon.
Now sure what to expect? H2O Racing president Nicolo di San Germano explains: ‘F1H2O racing is unlike any other sport – the event is an amazing spectacle for people of all ages and we look forward to bringing this global event to such a vibrant city.” Expect to see the powerboats reach speeds of up to 140mph.
Ticket prices starts at £20 per person for Saturday, £40 for Sunday £50 for the whole weekend. Buy F1H2O Grand Prix London tickets here.
