Summer Fun At Southbank Centre
The sun is beaming down from a cloudless sky on to the sparkling Thames against a backdrop of the city’s breathtaking skyline. There’s only one place to be when it’s like this – Southbank Centre.
We have an array of shows coming up, Monstersaurus!(7-12 August), from the creators of Aliens Love Underpants, is a laugh-out-loud musical show about a boy with a particular skill for monster-making. How to Catch a Star (23-27 August), based on the Oliver Jeffers book, is a pupperty show with a magical original score. Whether you’re looking for hilarious mayhem or a heartwarming adventure, these shows are guaranteed to captivate the family.
For the adrenaline junkies out there, the heart-stopping circus show Backbone (14-19 August) will lure you in with gravity-defying stunts and spine-tingling acrobatics. Southbank Centre is also a great place for free, outdoor summer fun. Join us every Wednesday (to 27th August) for Summer Film Nights, which include Sister Act and The Greatest Showman, every Thursday (to 23rd August) for DJ sets on our Riverside Terrace, and throughout the summer for themed Summertime Weekends with live performances, workshops and so much more!
