Mayor’s Letter: May 2017
A big welcome to London this May
Summer is just around the corner, so it’s the perfect time to enjoy our capital’s natural beauty. The Chelsea Flower Show has celebrated floristry and gardening for more than a century.
Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre kicks off its 2017 season this month. The peaceful venue is an oasis of calm in the centre of the city. Why not lose yourself in one of the productions being staged this summer?
More than 130 floating homes will fill Little Venice over the May Day bank holiday weekend to take part in an annual pageant. Bursting with colour and charm, this is a sight not to be missed.
London is renowned for being home to the flavours of the world, so head to Foodies Festival in Syon Park or BBC Good Food Summer in the City to experience the finest fare from the capital’s best chefs.
If you’re more of a night owl, then make sure you explore the capital’s galleries and museums at Museums at Night. This annual event throws open the doors of London’s cultural institutions after hours. Enjoy everything the capital has to offer!
