Mayor’s Letter: September 2017
A big welcome to London this September
You’ve picked one of the best times to visit, as London’s Autumn Season kicks off with a rich programme of culture. Totally Thames festival is a highlight of the season – over the month and along the 42 miles of the Thames, there is a host of activities as we celebrate our much-loved river. From beach walks to river tours, there are loads of ways to learn about the gateway to our city.London has always prided itself on being a global sporting capital.
American football comes to the capital as the NFL holds its London Games Series at Wembley Stadium. Watch the Baltimore Ravens take on the Jacksonville Jaguars and the New Orleans Saints compete against the Miami Dolphins. Meanwhile, more than 700 venues open their doors and welcome visitors during Open House London, which marks 25 years. This is your chance to explore the unexplored and see inside some of London’s amazing buildings – take a tour around City Hall and enjoy the views of the City and Tower Bridge. Have a great time in London!
