A letter from the Mayor of London: Sadiq Khan
Welcome to London this May
London is a great place to be this month. The Victoria and Albert Museum hosts the Bigger than the Plate exhibition from 18 May, to help us achieve a sustainable future. Visitors can explore every stage in the food system, from farming to composting.
The home of English football, Wembley Stadium, welcomes thousands of fans on 4 May for the Women’s FA Cup Final, and again on 18 May for the Men’s FA Cup Final.
The Chelsea Flower Show returns from 21-25 May, attracting people from around the world to celebrate the best in gardening, while restaurants mark the occasion with special menus.
Thousands of bicycles form a procession through Waltham Forest, the Mayor’s first London Borough of Culture, on 4 May. Snaking through woodland for the Chingford May Day Fayre, it celebrates the bicycle, which was invented in Waltham Forest.
Finally, enjoy our green spaces, from Hyde Park to Hampstead Heath.
However you spend your trip, have a great time.
Mayor Of London
