A letter from the Mayor of London: Sadiq Khan
Welcome to London this July
Some of the biggest sports stars are in the capital this month, as the Wimbledon Tennis Championships take place (1-14 Jul), while top athletes compete at the Müller Anniversary Games at the London Stadium (20-21 Jul).
Meanwhile, join those lining the streets for Pride in London (6 Jul). It’s a great example of our city at its best, demonstrating that we are one of the world’s most LGBTQI+-friendly places.
Waltham Forest, our first London Borough of Culture, presents the Walthamstow Garden Party (13-14 Jul). Why not join 30,000 others to see inspiring arts, crafts and a circus?
The National Maritime Museum hosts an exhibition to mark the 50th anniversary of the moon landing. See more than 180 artefacts, including items that have been to the moon and back.
Finally, Buckingham Palace, the Queen’s official London home, welcomes visitors for its annual summer opening (from 20 Jul). I hope you have a wonderful experience!
