Mayor's Letter: March 2017
A big welcome to London this March
London’s top female talent takes centre stage this month as we mark International Women’s Day in the capital. The brilliant Women of the World festival at the Southbank Centre celebrates the power and potential of girls and women of all ages and walks of life. There are world-class exhibitions, including The American Dream: Pop to the Present at The British Museum, with works by some of the greatest American artists, from Andy Warhol and Jasper Johns to Julie Mehretu and Kara Walker, as well as Diana: Her Fashion Story at Kensington Palace, which celebrates Diana, Princess of Wales.
The capital will once again be turning green for our annual St Patrick’s Day Parade and Festival, a terrific celebration of Irish culture with music, performances and food inspired by the Emerald Isle. The famous parade will bring the streets of the West End to life with a wonderful showcase of Irish charm and pageantry. However you spend your time in our great city – enjoy!
